GASCADE compressor station
in Bunde

The Bunde compressor station near Leer in East Friesland receives natural gas from sources in northwest Europe such as the North Sea and Norway and compresses it for consumption in northern Germany. Up to 1.2 million cubic meters of gas can stream through the Bunde station per hour. For comparison, the average household uses roughly 2,700 cubic meters per year.
