Mini-marathon 2015: GASCADE sponsors about 1000 runners

Kassel-based network operator enables children and young people to participate

Kassel. In the run-up to Kassel's mini-marathon race in May 2015, GASCADE is sponsoring more than 1,000 participating students. "Children and young people are important for our society. We want them to grow up healthy and well-educated, because they are our future," says GASCADE Managing Director Christoph von dem Bussche about his company's commitment.

GASCADE wants to do more than make sure that the environmentally friendly and green energy source gas is transported safely through Germany. "By sponsoring these students we want to encourage and motivate them to develop trust in their own bodies and minds and have fun while doing it," says GASCADE Managing Director Andrey Krutko. "We also want to show our support for Winfried Aufenanger and his team. With extraordinary passion and commitment they organize a sporting event year after year that has no equal in the region."

With roughly 6,000 runners, the mini-marathon race is the largest contest of the E.On Kassel Marathon. The event's host is justifiably proud of this development, because it is one of the most popular races of its kind in Germany. Last year, 110 Kassel schools took part. Besides their teachers, many parents help the boys and girls prepare for the race.

The Kassel Marathon is Northern Hesse's largest running event and will be held May 15-17, 2015.
