Over the next few months, GASCADE Gastransport GmbH will be carrying out renovation work on the ERM gas pipeline in Ludwigshafen
Ludwigshafen. Preparations are currently underway for maintenance work on the ERM gas pipeline along the railway line between Oggersheim and Oppau. For this purpose, a number of small paths between “Im Zinkig” and “Ludwig-Wolker-Straße” will be closed and areas will be fenced off.
The renovation work involves four sections of the ERM that cross the railway line. As the pipeline under the tracks cannot be modernized, new pipes will be laid parallel to the ERM. Outside the area adjacent to the railway, these new sections will be connected to the existing gas pipeline. The old pipes will be insulated and remain under the tracks. The areas and paths will then be restored to their original condition.
The gas supply will be ensured throughout the entire construction period. There will be no restrictions on rail traffic. The work is scheduled to be completed in November 2025.
GASCADE and the construction companies carrying out the work will make every effort to ensure that the upcoming work is carried out in a manner that is compatible with the environment and local residents. We nevertheless ask for your understanding and will endeavor to complete the project as quickly as possible.
