Kassel. GASCADE Gastransport GmbH (GASCADE) has become a partner of Gewächshaus e.V., supporting a place that is open to all children and families, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. Through this partnership, the Kassel-based company is further expanding its commitment to the local community and reinforcing its support for education, inclusion and social cohesion.
GASCADE's support helps secure the future of a unique venue in Kassel, the city renowned worldwide for documenta. Located in Wolfsschlucht, the Gewächshaus provides children aged up to twelve and their caregivers with a free space for play, learning and social interaction. Since opening just over two years ago, the venue has welcomed more than 25,000 visitors. Families from a wide range of backgrounds come together here to play, create, learn and explore artistic expression. The programme also includes workshops on sustainability and environmental awareness.
At the same time, the Gewächshaus preserves a piece of documenta history. The artwork „Public Daycare“ by Brazilian artist Graziela Kunsch was originally created as part of documenta fifteen. Following its success, the City of Kassel acquired the work. Today, it remains publicly accessible through the Gewächshaus, where it continues to be experienced and actively used by children and families.
