Work on the Central German Gas Link (MIDAL) starts

Noise disturbances from Monday, March 27, 2017 on possible

Horn-Bad Meinberg / Lage / Detmold. Maintenance and repair work will be conducted on the MIDAL gas pipeline from Monday, March 27 until Friday, March 31, 2017. Therefore, a section of the pipeline between Horn-Bad Meinberg and Lage will be taken out of service.  

This may lead to increased noise levels on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 8 a.m. until noon. Those affected include the area around the Ackhöfe street in Horn-Bad Meinberg as well as Lage, more specifically the Hessloh district. Further work that could cause a slight increase in noise levels will take place on Thursday, March 30, 2017 as well as Friday, March 31, 2017 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Following this, the maintenance and repair work should be complete.

The MIDAL is part of the GASCADE long-distance gas pipeline network. 679 kilometers long, it runs from Bunde in Northern Germany to Ludwigshafen in Rhineland-Palatinate. It measures up to a meter in diameter.
