Job description:
Master Tradesman at the Greifswald landing station

What qualifications do you need for your job?

Henri Dunzik: First and foremost, you should have completed your vocational training and then qualify as a master tradesman in a technical profession – ideally in electrical engineering for energy and building technology.

What are your typical main tasks?

Dunzik: Our main tasks are to maintain and repair the technical facilities. That also includes ensuring the availability of the compressor station in our network.

What are the particular advantages of your post?

Dunzik: Working independently and under your own responsibility is enormously important. Sometimes you have to take decisions on your own. And, of course, there's always the technical aspect.

What special interests and skills should you bring with you?

Dunzik: A sense of responsibility and an interest in technology should be top of the list.

How did the company help you get to know the ropes?

Dunzik: My induction was very good. There was a transparent structure, so I felt I was taught what the job involves well.

How can you gain further qualifications?

Dunzik: Further training in our field is very varied – both on the job among the craftsmen and master tradesmen, as well as externally. They are always supported by GASCADE.
