Reckrod 2 compressor station: GASCADE issues invitation to information day

Before the start of the planning approval procedure: dialog with citizens

EITERFELD. Lively interest at the GASCADE information day on Saturday, May 21, 2022: Over 60 interested citizens informed themselves at the Eiterfeld community center about the planned construction of the new Reckrod 2 compressor station. Numerous members of the local council, the deputy mayor of the market town of Eiterfeld representing the mayor, and local officials took the opportunity to inform themselves about the current planning status.

At different topic islands, the visitors could find out about the operation and technology of the planned compressor station, questions concerning ecology and agriculture, and the schedule for the individual construction phases, and talk directly with the GASCADE experts present. “Personal contact with the local population is very important for us. We are very pleased with the lively interest of the citizens in the project and the positive feedback at the event,” said Marco Breiding, GASCADE contact for the community and responsible for accompanying the upcoming public law procedure.

The Reckrod 2 compressor station is to be built south of the existing Reckrod compressor station. GASCADE is currently just ahead of the start of the planning approval procedure. The application documents are to be submitted to the approval authority, the Kassel regional council, in the coming weeks.
